Perhaps a kind bokoblin will do it for me. As I make my way throughout the rest of Hyrule, I'm still thinking about my time with these angelic, wondrous puppers, and I'm hoping Caramel gets the pets he needs and deserves one day. I enjoyed all the time I spent with the various canine companions in Breath of the Wild, but I still lament the fact that there just weren't enough varieties or colors to make up for the lack of interaction with them. Ferocious, wild, and amazing Wolf Link showed me what it was to have a companion that felt like my equal in Hyrule. He never rolled on his back for me to rub his belly, instead leading me around as if I were the dog. He was more interested in showing me how a real alpha wolf should behave. However, players who do unlock, find, and follow Breath of the Wild’s most exclusive pooch will be rewarded with 5 Bomb Arrows for their effort.Wolf Link didn't care for or need belly rubs, being the Hero of Time and all. This dog may never make it to some players’ games if they don’t fully complete the quest, and even after it makes its appearance in the completed town, players will still have to feed it three times and follow it to its treasure in order to claim it for themselves. Since this dog doesn’t even show up until every part of the Tarrey Town quest has been completed, its treasure is particularly easy for players to miss, especially since all of Breath of the Wild’s side quests are entirely optional. The chest will appear to the left of this house close to Rhondson's tailor shop, and players will need to use the Magnesis rune to get it out of the ground. While the tan dog will occasionally snatch a drumstick, Link can max out his bond with the grey dog fairly quickly by dropping enough food for both, or by leading the grey dog away to feed it. The one that leads Link to treasure will appear behind the house where Greyson and Pelison have set up shop, just behind the Goddess statue in the center of town. There are two dogs that hang out here, but the grey dog is the one that leads to the secret treasure chest. Once Breath of the Wild's Tarrey Town has been completed, three dogs will appear in the town. Additionally, one of the town’s new residents will bring their dog with them, allowing Link to befriend and follow it to the location of its hidden treasure in Breath of the Wild. After bringing him over 100 bundles of wood and recruiting merchants from most of Hyrule’s major cities, players will complete the quest and be able to access the newly-established Tarrey Town, complete with its own shops and an inn that Link can stay in for free. “From the Ground Up” has Link assist Hudson, one of the employees of the Bolson Construction company, as he builds an entire town from scratch in the East Akkala region. Related: Legend Of Zelda Games That Don't Actually Have Zelda In Them There are a total of fourteen dogs in Breath of the Wild that will lead to hidden treasure, but one of them doesn’t even appear until after the completion of Breath of the Wild’s longest side quest, “From the Ground Up.” Link can maximize his bond with a dog by feeding it three pieces of meat or fruit, and while he can also earn its trust simply by standing or crouching beside it for long enough, feeding it will make things significantly quicker. Dogs will only lead Link to treasure once he has completely bonded with them and earned their trust.
